Communicable Disease Plan
As mandated by the Provincial Health Officer, as well as the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, Thrive Therapeutics will be adapting COVID-19 protocols in an effort to prevent the spread of communicable disease.
Protective Protocols
We will require that all patients are free from any signs or symptoms of communicable disease on the day of their appointment. Hand washing or sanitizing will be required upon entry to the clinic. Tissues are available throughout the clinic should you need to touch your face or cover a sneeze.
The PHO recommends continued mask use for those individuals 12 years of age and older who are not yet fully vaccinated. Your therapist will wear a mask upon request and may request that you wear one during your treatment time. Masks are available at the clinic should this request be made.
We ask that patients arrive on time and unaccompanied for their appointment. Exceptions can be made for those requiring extra assistance or for young children who are more comfortable with a parent present. Should you choose to come into the waiting room prior to your appointment time, chairs are placed to allow for social distancing and rebooking and payment will occur in the treatment room should congestion be an issue.
In addition to the aforementioned considerations, Thrive practitioners will ensure that they too are in good health when treating clients, continue their rigorous and regular hand washing and will increase ventilation during working hours.
Cleaning and Sanitization
Enhanced cleaning protocols remain in place. Our therapists will be regularly disinfecting: chairs, computers, phones, the front desk, bathroom door handles, faucets etc. Between each patient, your therapist will disinfect all surfaces that may have come into contact with other clients including: chairs, face rests, massage tables, hooks, doorknobs, light switches as well as their oil bottles, stools and tablets.
We all care for your health and well-being and will do our utmost to keep the risk to you as well as our colleagues low. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to adjust to changing recommendations and requirements. Should you have any questions, concerns or feedback please do not hesitate to address them with one of our therapists.
Warm regards,
The Thrive Team
