Natalie Crawford, BSW, MSWI, RSW

Natalie is a FNHA Approved Registered Social Worker. She has been working in the therapy field for 18 years. Graduating with a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2004 from Thompson Rivers University, she began working in the field of trauma and moved towards Mental Health and Substance Use work. After 10 years of specializing in Substance Use, she began focussing on providing culturally safe mental health counselling in Indigenous communities; expanding her scope of practice to compound grief and complex historical trauma. She graduated in 2021 with Master's in Social Work from Uvic.
At the core of Natalies practice is the belief that clients are experts of their lives and drive the therapy process. Empowerment and self determination being the foundation of her work.
Natalie utilizes several modalities in therapy, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectal Behaviour Therapy, and Solution Focussed Therapy.
Her belief is that laughter is as therapeutic as crying and change can be made through a variety of portals.
Natalie is an avid cyclist and runner; spending countless hours in the trails around Campbell River with her belgian shepherd, Baz and fox terrier, Taboo.
